I haven't posted much on LinkedIn lately, but that doesn't mean I'm not doing my homework looking for a cool #FridayMorningJam tune to share with my music loving friends and followers. Yeah, I love Bob Seger, but I am always on the look out for new tunes and new artists that make me feel like dancing and remembering the classic rock of the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
The music of Ana Popovic lifts me up and makes me want to dance. The story of Ana Popovic absolutely inspires me. Born in Belgrade, Ana's father introduced her to the blues, and she started to play the guitar when she was fifteen.
Here's a few lines as Ana tells her story: “In the fall of 2020, while the world was dealing with Covid, I found myself in a dire and devastating situation, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Having lost my mother three years before the same illness, my world just crumbled.“
Ana is a survivor and an inspiration. What a great song about how someone turns their luck around. The songs on her new album “Power” serve as evidence of her strength and conviction. Recorded with an all-star line-up of top-notch musicians from Detroit, Dallas, and New Orleans her new album will be released in May.
