“I Ain't No Nice Guy” Lemmy Kilmister
Today we feature a pretty laid back song for a #FridayMorningJam but on our ongoing appreciation of across various music genre's todays #FridayMorningJam features one of the most interesting classic rock heavy metal duets of all time, Ozzy Osbourne with Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister discussing the meaning of life.
Last week I featured a song by a metal artist and a few comments questioned what is metal music. This song again bridges across the genre's with a 90's style power ballad.
“I Ain't No Nice Guy” is on the 1992 March Ör Die album by Motörhead, and if you look closely on the video you'll even see Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash.

Lemmy Kilmister was an interesting character. I find it amusing how many hard rock artists are best remembered for a ballad. Critics and fans hated the song for not being a typical metal song. Kind of like the modern metal band Disturbed who have done some cool ballads and taking criticism for not being a typical metal song. Which is exactly my point, why do we have to have etched in stone pictures of what a genre is supposed to sound like.
Alice Cooper is a pretty conservative Christian. Alice Cooper's “No More Mr. Nice Guy” was a rant to his religious family. “No More Mr. Nice Guy” was Cooper's way of saying to his church, there were worse things that he could do with his life, look there's nothing wrong with being a rock star.
My first #FridayMorningJam post this morning was a pretty heavy tune, in many ways, I mean really, the meaning of life as told by two heavy metal artists.
Now it's time to grab that morning cup of coffee and sing about nothing! A happy and funky piano tune celebrating nothing!
