About a year ago I started posting a Friday morning wake up song and called it #FridayMorningJam I was posting music from my generation of classic rock (60s, 70s, 90s) I got caught up in a few conversations about modern music after the Super Bowl halftime show. I commented that I didn't listen to the show, not because I think all modern music sucks, but because the genre being played was not to my liking. At the same time that conversation was making the rounds I posted a Lynyrd Skynyrd song and that started similar conversations on how today's music didn't have the same feel as β€œthe old stuff.”

Over the last few weeks as I've been on the theme of posting bands with Southern roots formed in the 90s and newer. It's been cool to see the comments and interactions over the last few weeks as I've been on this theme. I smile every time I see a baby boomer see one of my posts and say, wow, cool, I didn't know this band existed. It's been fun. This journey has given me so many more ideas of music topics to write about.

I'm happy to connect with anyone for the love of music. Lately, I've posted a lot about music. The world becomes a little bit smaller when you connect with people who share a common bond.

😎 😍 🎡 I'm happy to connect and share a few ideas along the way for the love of music. 😎 😍 🎡

It's interesting to see where people draw lines in the sand to define genres and generations. The history of rock music has its roots in the blues. Eric Clapton, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and many other great musicians from β€œacross the pond” were all students of the blues. The blues as a music genre can be traced back to the Deep South in the mid 1800s.

As a Cyberspace Nomad, I'm sharing music across the generations and different for the love of music, the universal language!

Follow #FridayMorningJam and look for this week's post as I'm still exploring the modern generation of southern rock for the love of #music 😎 😍 🎡.

Happy #MellowMetalSaturday! If you've been following me you know I'm currently exploring modern bands with southern roots. This song is a great example of a powerful mellow metal ballad back by some very great metal musicians.
